| STX Europe's yard in Florø has a long tradition in shipbuilding and delivered about 120 vessels of different types. The shipyard is specialized in building innovative parcel and juice tankers with stainless steel cargo tanks. The shipyard delivers innovation to leading providers of safe transportation of highly demanding chemicals. The production output of the Florø yard will be increased considerably within the next few years by utilizing a production split with the Damen Shipyard Okean in the Ukraine. The fore and aft sections of ships will be built in the Ukraine. The midship sections will be built at the same time in Florø. The fore sections of the ship will be welded to the aft section, and then towed as “small” ships to Florø. When the fore and aft section arrives in Florø, it will be separated in the dry dock and then joined with the mid-section.
